Our current shed is second hand and was kindly donated to us when we launched back in 2021.
​
However, over the last few years, its structural integrity has worsened significantly - the roof leaks, the doors can’t close, and the damage to the structure means that many of our tools and working materials (such as paper, pens, paints, soil, seeds) are not safely stored.
​
We also depend on the existing shed to be able to harvest vital rainwater, because The Up Garden has no running water. However, because of the extensive damage we are not able to reliably do so and in prior summers, we have run out of water to keep our plants alive.
​​
The Metropolitan Public Gardens Association (MPGA) has pledged to grant us £1500 to get the shed of our dreams, as long as we fundraise the remainder of the balance to acquire it.

Once the funding target by the MPGA grant has been met, all further monies raised will continue to go towards costs associated with replacing the shed, and thereafter towards the general overheads required to deliver The UP Garden's aims.
